The Abondance village-resort has a ski area that is accessible using a cable car in the village centre. The domain is very family friendly: from green to black runs, everyone will be happy! The ski area’s different sectors, beginners’ area, the Lake, Corne, Fremoux and Ecuelle, all offer breathtaking panoramas and ski runs for all levels.
The Ecuelle draglift and its ski slope provides skiing in a beautiful unspoilt valley. In addition, a new run has been created; La Variante. It links the Follys runs with Petit Fremoux.

A restaurant with sunny terrace is at the foot of the slopes and accessible on foot (from the top of the cable car).
Free parking in the car park at the foot of the Essert cable car and in all the village car parks.
Accessible by a cable car that is located 5 minutes on foot from the village centre and linked by a Vallée d’Abondance ColomBus shuttle. Littluns will do their first turns on the small Brion run and will go back up with the snow cord! To learn to ski, children and adults use the Covagny green run and take the Covagny beginner’s drag lift, perfect for your first ever ski outings!
This is a fun place for beginners right in the centre of the village. This snow front has a green run for skiers and a slope especially for sledging. This area is easily accessible by car and is an area that is placed under your personal responsibility.
The Folly’s restaurant is next to the top of the cable car arrival. Take a break, enjoy a refreshment and eat overlooking the mountains.

In winter, the Essert restaurant at the top of the gondola is a 50-meter walk away. Pedestrians can access the Covagny beginners’ slope, so you can watch your child discover the joys of skiing!
