Discover all the secrets of this dish, a local speciality made with Abondance cheese. Take part in its preparation, then share a moment of conviviality around its tasting.
The typical recipe of the “Berthoud” was elaborated at the beginning of the 20th century by a family of the same name which held a bistro in Thonon-les-Bains (74). Presented as an individual hot dish, it is traditionally made from a clever blend of melted Abondance cheese and white wine, served in a “Berthoud cup”.
A guaranteed traditional speciality, Berthoud is made from the essential products of its birthplace: the AOP “Abondance”, the emblematic raw cow’s milk cheese and the AOP “Vin de Savoie” white wine.
After having followed the recipe scrupulously, it’s time to taste and share impressions.
