The village resort of Abondance has a ski area accessible by cable car from the center of the village. This area is connected to the Portes du Soleil and the Montagnes d’Evian by shuttles.
Just 10 minutes by car from the village centre, the Nordic site of Lac des Plagnes will amaze you with its mountainous winter scenery. Its enchanting environment promises you a great time in the great outdoors!
But the most athletic will probably prefer the vast area linking La Chapelle d’Abondance and Châtel which offers more than 23km of cross-country ski trails!

The Abondance ESF (French Ski School) provides teaching adapted to all ages throughout the winter. No matter what your level is the instructors will help you to progress. Children will burst with pride when they receive a medal (Piou-piou, star or arrow).
